HOPE MEMORIAL CAMP
ABOUT THE HOPE MEMORIAL CAMP
The Hope Memorial Camp is a self-catering residential centre, situated on the B5292, just outside the village of Braithwaite, near Keswick, in the Lake District.
Set in about 35 acres of its own land, there is accommodation for up to 32 people in small dormitories. The building has a large communal room at each end and a kitchen equipped with catering-sized ovens, large fridge, freezer, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The building is centrally heated and other facilities include showers and toilets, a large drying room, a landline payphone and wifi internet access.
The camp has its own carpark with space for up to 8 vehicles. Sheep often graze on our land so gates should be kept shut, and camping in tents is not permitted. There are two public footpaths which cross the camp’s land.
Situated on the outskirts of Braithwaite the camp is only a short walk from the village’s amenities, which include cafés, pubs and a village shop, and it is only 2.5 miles from Keswick and 2 miles from the Whinlatter Forest Park. There are many activities available in the area, which can be found on the Trip Advisor link below.
